DGPS 04/03/07 8:50:45 AM DGPS can in some cases be misleading. DGPS is truly under RTK, however DGPS will not perform like RTK. DGPS, with the same installation as RTK minus the radio, at its best will perform +/- 2-4 inches pass to pass, +/- 4 inches repeatability. To get this type of accuarcy requires a subscription to OmniSTAR HP, at a cost of @ $1,800.00 per year. To get +/- 3-5 inch pass to pass, +/- 8 inch repeatabliliy requires OmniSTAR XP, for a cost of @ $500.00 per year. WAAS on the other hand, will provide +/- 6-8 inches pass to pass and +/- 3 feet year to year. However, WAAS requires no cost, this correction is free to air, you just will not have the accuarcy without a subscription of some sort. |
